West Side

Τις ημέρες που ψιλιάζονται ότι ο κόσμος θα έχει φύγει από την πόλη φροντίζουν η φλόγα να είναι μεγαλύτερη.

Counsil Estate Video Clip

In my mothers belly and I'm starting to kick,
9 months in the womb and I'm making her sick,
Squeeze through the womb and I land in the room,

Don't know who we are, can't really tell,
We do the council flats and we do some jail (?)

Don't like school, in a week we go once,
Don't like th' police 'cos they kick and they punch,
God bless all the stress and the stress comes at once,
But remember boy you're a superstar
Can't break it, can't take who you are
Can't break it, can't take who you are
Remember boy you're a superstar

They call you council estate
They call you 'can't go straight'
They call you crime rate
They call you 'can't go straight'
And you're bending all the rules
Where you bury your tools (?)
Bending all the rules
Where you bury your tools

Your family can't visit cos the visits too far,
You can't be who you be 'cos you're not who you are,
Remember boy you're a superstar x3

Tricky #2

Preview the entire Knowle West Boy album.

Puppy Toy _ There's a girl called Alex Mills, who’s on my Brown Punk label. She sings on 'Puppy Toy'. She does the spoken word bits, too. She’s from Leeds.

Bacative & Baligaga _ The reggae vocalist on Bacative and Baligaga is my boy Rodigan from New York… one of the guys I hung out with in The Bronx. Seven years we’ve been friends, and he inspires me. 'Baligaga 'is a made-up word… don’t ask me what the fuck it means! 'Bacative' is Jamaican slang… if someone has your back, you’ve got 'bacative'. The female voice on Bacative, is this Spanish girl who I don’t really know and who isn’t really a singer.

Joseph _ Joseph is one of two songs I've named after the tune’s lead singer. I met him outside a food shop in LA. He was a busker. Problem is… I've lost his details. I have no idea where this kid is now. So I called it Joseph so, hopefully, he hears it somewhere and gets in touch. 'Cos I want to work with him again.

Veronika _ Veronika… she's a friend of mine from a really good band in Italy. And she wrote that song, not me. But I changed the music. So, again, I named the track after her.

Past Mistake & School _ The singer on Past Mistake and School Gates is my French-Moroccan ex-girlfriend Lubna, who I’ve just had an horrific break-up with. It's funny… me and Lubna wrote Past Mistake when we were just turning from good to bad. One day much later we were in bed listening to it and we realised that it was about us going horribly wrong. It's like we knew it was going to happen.

Cross To Bear _ Cross To Bear is sung by an Icelandic girl called Hafdis. The song's inspired by Scorcese's The Last Temptation Of Christ and I just thought her voice would be great because its kinda innocent. I thought she’d be good at playing Jesus. Not everybody could get away with that.

Council Estate _ And Council Estate is just me. It's the first single I've ever done with just me on vocals. I couldn’t whisper that song. I had to come out of myself and do a loud, screaming vocal. I wanted to be a proper frontman on that one.

Slow _ I covered Kylie's Slow because I love that song. And the video is one of the best fucking videos I’ve ever seen. It’s sexy as fuck. I was really conscious about my lyrics this time around. I find it easy to write lyrics… I'm blessed. And I really love doing it. But sometimes when something comes easy you get lazy.

I just turned 30... I want out.

When I'm lyin in my bed at night, I don't wanna grow up
Nothin ever seems to turn out right, I don't wanna grow up
How do you move in a world of fog, Thats always changing things
Makes me wish that I could be a dog
When I see the price that you pay, I don't wanna grow up
I don't ever wanna be that way, I don't wanna grow up

Seems like folks turn into things, That they'd never want, The only thing to live for Is today...

I'm gonna put a hole in my tv set, I don't wanna grow up
Open up the medicine chest, And I don't wanna grow up
I don't wanna have to shout it out, I don't want my hair to fall out
I don't wanna be filled with doubt, I don't wanna be a good boy scout
I don't wanna have to learn to count, I don't wanna have the biggest amount I don't wanna grow up

Well when I see my parents fight, I don't wanna grow up
They all go out and drinking all night, And I don't wanna grow up
Id rather stay here in my room, Nothin out there but sad and gloom
I don't wanna live in a big old tomb, On grand street

When I see the 5 o'clock news, I don't wanna grow up
Comb their hair and shine their shoes, I don't wanna grow up
Stay around in my old hometown, I don't wanna put no money down
I dont wanna get me a big old loan,Work them fingers to the bone
I dont wanna float a broom, Fall in love and get married then boom
How the hell did I get here so soon, I don't wanna grow up

This morning at Thessaloniki harbor

a little query on the Internet for the "MS Navigator of the Seas" and this is what came up:

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour,
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour,
Of the galaxy we call the 'Milky Way'.
Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.
It's a hundred thousand light years side to side.
It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick,
But out by us, it's just three thousand light years wide.
We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point.
We go 'round every two hundred million years,
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.

The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,
Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth.

Summer is almost Gone... find it and play it tonight

Summer's almost gone, Summer's almost gone
Almost gone, Yeah, it's almost gone
Where will we be, When the summer's gone?

Morning found us calmly unaware, Milled the gold into your hair
At night, we swim, a lap at sea, When summer's gone
Where will we be, Where will we be, Where will we be

Morning found us calmly unaware, Milled the gold into your hair
At night, we swim, a lap at sea, When summer's gone
Where will we be

Summer's almost gone, Summer's almost gone
We had some good times, But they're gone
The winter's comin' on, Summer's almost gone

Universe Sandbox

Universe Sandbox is a really cool 3D Simulator.
"Smash planets together, introduce rogue stars, and build new worlds from spinning discs of debris. Fire a moon into a planet or destroy everything you've created with a super massive black hole."
